BASICS - 1.0
c-box 1.1CHARACTERS - 2.0
Our C-box is a privilege that can be taken away. Please be considerate while using the C-box and make sure you act respectfully towards your fellow members at all times. Please keep the comment spam to a minimum (posting five or six times in a row.)
character totals 1.2
Ravensbruck is lenient with character limits--if you think you can keep up with all of them, that's you're prerogative. However, failure to keep all of your individual characters active will result in their deletion.
profile 1.3
When signing up, please pick an appropriate username. Most likely your choice will reflect what you'll be called OOCly. Unique names are preferred, but not enforced. Profanity or offensive material contained in your username is not acceptable, and the account will be deleted without warning.
word limit 1.4
The word minimum here at Ravensbruck is a lenient 300. That's three-to-four solid paragraphs. There is a word counter provided below the 'preview' button.
appearances 2.1
Absolutely no unnatural coat colors, eye colors, or markings. This is a realistic wolf rp, meaning that unusual character designs--such as horns or wings--while fun, have no place here. Basically, if it's on a Sparkledog, it isn't permitted here. You may, however, be as creative as you'd like with the variety of breeds located in the creation board.
*names 2.2
Please be creative with the naming of your character. You may choose names from every corner of the world, each with meanings that can easily suit or even reveal something about your character. While there are no restrictions on the name you choose to give your character, please think twice before deciding to name them something like 'Treeflower.' We also heavily advise against generic names such as 'Silver' or 'Shadow', 'warriors' cat themed names, you get the drift. There will also be no use of common videogame names or mascots. There are plenty of unique names that you can choose from. If you are having trouble thinking of a name, there are hundreds of 'name' generator sites on the internet. Or just smash your hand into the keyboard. Really. It works sometimes.
breeds 2.3
You can find a list of all the accepted breeds of wolves in the creation board. Occasionally, you can even buy the more rare breeds via the coin exchange. Please note, however, that these are often limited in number, and tend to be expensive. So please double-check the in-stock availability and price before putting in a request in the purchase thread.
age 2.4
You cannot make a character under a year old unless you have adopted one of the litters that are periodically available.
PACKS / ROLEPLAY - 3.0
Alpha 3.1
Everything thing the Alpha says goes. They are in complete control over what happens in the pack's hierarchy and determine the fate of everyone in their reign. The Alpha can have an Alpha Female as a mate, or in other cases, the Alpha Female takes control of the pack.
Beta 3.2
The Beta is a type of Adviser the the Alpha; he/she keeps the peace and usually backs up the Alpha fully. A Beta is allowed a mate, called a Beta Female (or vice versa depending on gender).
Pack Members 3.3
All other packs members are in some sort of loose hierarchy which is determined by the pack's leading dominor. The pack members create the pack's true identity, based on how they get along, how well they work together, and how they overcome adversity together.
Pups 3.4
Pups are the youngest in the group, but they are not always ranked lowest. According to their parents, the pups get their rank. Obviously the Alpha's pups would rank high; almost in line with the Betas, while the regular pack member's would only be higher than the Omega. However, the Alpha always has authority over ranks.
Omega 3.5
The lowest of the low, the Omegas are usually the weakest wolf in the group and are demoted to this position. They do, however, play a significant part in keeping the peace and lessening tensions between the wolves in the pack. They usually are the scapegoat for all the trouble in the group.
Lands 3.6
Lands can be owned by either dominor or freiors. There is no limit to the amount of wolves allowed on a land. Lands can be challenged for once a month.
Territories 3.7
Territories can be claimed by anyone, dominor or freior. They can, however, only hold three wolves on the land at one time (minus pups). So if a dominor claims a territory, he/she can only have two sklavins. Territories will have to conduct a thread in which the two 'mini-packs' come into contact with each other. The lands are smaller and so the small packs must share their hunting and water together. Whether this causes a fight or the wolves get along peacefully is up to the members. The territories can even hunt together, just make sure the interaction happens once a month. Keeps the life of a territory action-paced. Besides, there are only three wolves on a territory, so posting should go relatively fast. The only exception to this 'three-wolf pack' rule is in the case of pups. If a dominor claims a sklavin and impregnates her, the pups will be allowed to remain on the territory until they are one year old. At that time, the dominor will need to either kick the pups out as freiors or (more likely) drop them off at the Auktion Rock for someone else to claim.
There is also a slight difference in challenging for territories. Regular lands can only be challenged after a month has passed from the last challenge. Territories, on the other hand, can be challenged once every two weeks.
BREEDING / BIRTHING - 4.0
graphic breeding 4.1
This type of breeding is not allowed, as it violates Proboards TOS.
pregnancy 4.2
When a she-wolf is pregnant by a male, the female must wait a week, aka seven days, before having her pups. In that time there must be at least one post in which she mentions and/or notifies the others (if she so chooses) of her pregnancy. Once she is ready to birth the pups, she can make her own, solitary post or join another in which she births them. As with the breeding policy, it shouldn't be too graphic.
playing the pups 4.3
Once the pups are born, the mother and father may choose a pup to play; the rest, if there are any, will be put up for adoption and the other players on this site can then ask to play a pup. The players of the parents may then decide among themselves whether to hold auditions, or award pups to each player on a first-come, first-served basis.
FIGHTING - 5.0
Fighting is covered in this post.

MISC. ITEMS - 6.0
Foreign Languages 6.1
If you are applying with a character that speaks a language other than the Common tongue that most of the denizens of Ravensbrück speak, please note the following rule. You must provide a translation in a footnote. This makes it much less confusing for the rest of us while reading over your posts. This doesn't mean that the translation will bleed through to IC knowledge, but if the gist of your post can't be understood, it makes it difficult for others to know how to respond.
The Real Ravensbruck 6.2
Yes, it is true. The real Ravensbrück was a woman's concentration camp in northern Germany during WWII. Appalling? Yes. Like her sister site, Dachau, Ravensbrück was used for the containment and execution of thousands of (specifically) women and their children. Most were killed in completely gruesome ways. The reason myself and Kirs created this site, and named it thus, was to inform, not to ridicule or mock. Our intent has been misinterpreted in the past, and I thought it best to clear the air now. If your interested about Ravensbrück itself, you can read more at the link below, or search google. I'm sure you'll come away a more informed person.
Note: Some of the graphics are a tad gruesome. Proceed with caution.
